As of the third quarter of 2023, more than 97 percent of internet users in Belgium aged 16 to 64 owned a mobile phone, a slight increase from 95.3 percent in 2022. In addition, computer ownership peaked in 2020 at 84 percent, before falling to approximately 77 percent in 2023. While 17 percent of Belgian internet users owned a smart watch or smart wristband in 2020, this percentage rose to almost 30 percent in 2023. Smart home devices and TV streaming devices are the two other device categories that experienced steady growth in ownership between 2020 and 2023.
