Spain: inter-urban public EV charging infrastructure by autonomous community 2022
In 2022, Catalonia recorded the largest inter-urban electric vehicle charging network, with around 1,500 public charging points located in inter-urban areas. With 1,000 chargers located between cities, Andalusia was the second leading autonomous community for inter-urban public charging. In contrast, Madrid—which had the second-largest urban public charging network in Spain in 2022—ranked fourth for inter-urban charging.
