Between 2020 and 2022, the share of adult population at risk of depression was considerably higher among unemployed people in the EU, with a risk of depression roughly 20 percent higher than the one experienced by employed people. In 2021, the highest share of adults at risk of depression was recorded for both employed and unemployed individuals.
