This statistic displays the number of adults admitted to hospital for cancer which can be caused by smoking in England (United Kingdom) from 2000/01 to 2019/20. In 2000/01 there were approximately 274 thousand adults admitted to hospital for cancer caused by smoking, by 2019/20 the number of hospital admissions had increased to approximately 381.7 thousand, this was the largest number of admissions during the provided time period.
