In the period of consideration, inland waterway transport infrastructure investments oscillated with a general trend of growth. In 2015, investment in waterway infrastructure reached its peak at 509 million euros, dropping to 436 million euros in the following year. In 2019, nearly 79 million euros were invested in inland waterways.
