The number of passengers on TUI cruise brands worldwide grew significantly in 2023 over the previous fiscal year, following a sharp decline with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Between October 2022 and September 2023, Mein Schiff's passengers totaled roughly 603 thousand, rising from 444 thousand in 2022. Despite the annual increase, cruise passenger figures remained below pre-pandemic levels.
