Mexico: cocoa area cultivated and harvested in 2023, by state
In 2023, the state of Tabasco was the state with the largest area of cocoa both cultivated and harvested. Over 34 thousand hectares were dedicated to the cultivation and harvesting of cocoa that year. Ranking second was Chiapas, with almost 18 thousand hectares cultivated and 17.7 harvested.
That year, the total area of cocoa cultivated in Mexico reached over 52 thousand hectares.
