Number of sold hotel and holiday resort rooms in Denmark 2019-2020, by region
The number of sold rooms in hotels and holiday resorts in Denmark significantly declined in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In that year, the total number of sold rooms was nearly half the total rooms sold the year prior. Across the country, the Capital Region of Denmark had the highest number of rooms sold in that year, accounting for over 2.5 million rooms. However, that was 60 percent that the total number of rooms sold in 2019. Comparatively, the Zealand Region had the least number of rooms sold in 2020.
