Argentina: change in air pollution in Buenos Aires 2020
Nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) is a gaseous air pollutant and has a direct connection to fossil fuel emissions. Changes in air pollution levels are related to a reduction in industrial activity and traffic circulation in urban areas, a consequence of lockdown measures enforced globally in an attempt to limit the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The first case of COVID-19 was reported in Argentina on March 3, with a total lockdown implemented on March 20.
