In 2023, Patagonia took the top spot as the most reputable corporation in the United States, with an index score of 83.5 points based on consumer perception of the brand. The outdoor brand was closely followed by Costco, which scored 82.1 points in the ranking. The ranking is based on a list of "most visible" companies in the U.S., i.e. companies that were most top-of-mind for reputation for U.S. consumers.
