Sports stadium safe attendance capacity public opinion in Italy 2021
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020, large gatherings at places such as sports stadiums were limited and social distancing measures were put in place to contain the spread of the virus. According to a 2021 survey in Italy, 33 percent of respondents stated that they thought it would be safe for sports stadiums to open at a capacity of between 25 and 50 percent of seats filled. Meanwhile, nine percent of respondents stated that stadiums should be empty.
