Mobile internet uses among the French
In a distinct survey, responding French young adults (aged 15 to 25 years old) stated spending 14:50 hours using the Internet from their smartphone. Furthermore, it appears that people living in cities bigger than 100,000 inhabitants tended to use mobile internet more than inhabitants from smaller cities: 66 percent of French living in big cities said to use their mobile phone to browse the Internet, while 58 percent of residents of rural municipalities did.
Diversity of internet uses
The amount of time spent on the Internet by French users includes a variety of different uses. For instance, 32 percent of French surveyed said consulting the Internet at least once a week looking for information before buying a product or service. Moreover, more than 60 percent of respondents throughout all age groups listened to or downloaded music or video clips online.
