*Data includes all U.S. airlines with at least half of one percent of total domestic scheduled-service passenger revenues.

Data is based on nonstop domestic scheduled flights and includes passenger reports of mishandled-baggage, including those that did not subsequently result in claims for compensation.

Data for Northwest Airlines was included under Delta after merging in January 2010.

American Airlines and US Airways are combined as American Airlines as of January 2014.

Southwest Airlines and AirTran Airways data were combined as Southwest Airlines.

The values through 2022 were taken from previous editions.
