Expenditure on holidays abroad in the Netherlands 2017-2018, by accommodation type
In 2018, roughly 1.95 billion euros was spent on camping holidays abroad. Most was spent on hotels, motels or hostels, as approximately 8.8 billion euros was spent by Dutch tourists abroad on this form of accommodation. In total, just over 17 billion euros was spent on holidays abroad, which is a significant increase compared to the previous year when roughly an expenditure of 14 billion euros was registered.
