Household gross saving rate in the EU Q1 2020-Q3 2022, by country
Household gross saving rate in the European Union (27 countries) reached an average of 13.32 percent in the third quarter of 2022. The saving rate varied considerably by country. For instance, in the Netherlands it reached almost 20 percent, while in Poland it amounted to two percent. In general, during 2022, saving rates were lower than average due to the high inflation and the increasing cost of living.
