Largest central banks in Latin America 2023, by international reserves assets
As of March 2023, Banco Central do Brasil led the ranking of the largest central banks in Latin America and the Caribbean based on international reserve assets. The central bank of Brazil reported 341 billion U.S. dollars worth of reserve assets, underscoring the country's economic strength in the region. Banco de México ranked second, with roughly 206 billion U.S. dollars worth of assets on its balance sheet.
