Monthly export volume of cut flowers in Kenya 2019-2023
The export volume of cut flowers from Kenya decreased to roughly 4,700 metric tons in December 2023, down from 12,800 metric tons in the previous month. In March and September 2022, the country exported a record amount of cut flowers, with 1.421 and 1.418 million metric tons, respectively. Although the country lost flower exports to Russia and Ukraine as the result of the war, they have recouped these losses from other markets, namely Japan and Australia.
