GPI for tertiary school enrollment APAC 2018-2022, by country
In 2022, the Gender Parity Index (GPI) for tertiary education enrollment in Bangladesh was 0.84, by far the lowest across the Asia-Pacific region. This indicator is calculated by dividing the female gross enrollment ratio in tertiary education by the male gross enrollment ratio in tertiary education. A GPI of less than 1 suggests that female students are more disadvantaged than male students in learning opportunities, while a GPI of greater than 1 suggests the opposite.
