Breakdown of primary residences in Paris 2008-2020, by tenure
The majority of Parisians live in their primary residence as tenants, and while the share of renters increased slightly between 2008 and 2020, the distribution of Parisian principal residences according to occupancy status has changed very little during this decade. The most significant evolution concerns the share of freely occupied housing, which was 5.7 percent at the beginning of the period, and 4.8 percent at the end.
