Frozen food shopper share in Japan 2024, by age
The majority of consumers in Japan purchased frozen convenience food habitually, as revealed in a survey conducted in April 2024. While 54 percent of young adults aged 20 to 29 years bought frozen food regularly, the share among respondents in the age group 60 to 69 years reached 75 percent.
The Japanese convenience food market offers a broad selection of frozen sweet and savory foods, with sides like deep-fried dishes, dumplings (gyoza), and noodles being popular products.
