Subsidy amount of the KfW "Energy efficient renovation" Germany 2001-2022
In 2022, around 46 million euros were allocated by the KfW, a state-owned development and investment banking group in Germany, for their energy efficient renovating program. This was a siginifcant decrease compared to around 3.25 billion euros in 2021. In January 2022, the German government temporarily stopped the program due to missing financial support. However, a month later applications could again be submitted, as the budget committee cleared the relevant financial resources.
