Impulse buying behavior in Japan 2022, by age
Young consumers were more likely to make impulse purchases, as revealed in a survey conducted in November 2022 in Japan. Nearly 45 percent of surveyed teenagers aged 15 to 19 years stated they made purchases on impulse, out of which 15.7 percent reported that the statement applied very much. The consumer group of 70 years and older were the least likely to tend towards impulse buying, with only around 15 percent of respondents.
