Italy: cyber offence against the person 2023

In 2023, the Italian authorities covering cyber crime and online safety investigated over 9,500 cases of offence against individuals perpetrated on the internet. The authorities put approximately 1,230 people under investigations for alleged crimes against the person committed on the internet, as well as arresting 19 people for crimes such as cyber stalking, online defamation, and revenge porn.
