Per capita alcohol consumption of all beverages in the U.S. South 1977-2022
In 2022, the alcohol consumption per capita in the South region of the U.S. was 2.38 gallons of ethanol (pure alcohol). The Health People program initiated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services established a nationwide objective of no more than 2.1 gallons of alcohol per capita. This statistic displays the alcohol consumption per capita of all beverages in the U.S. South between 1977 and 2022.
