Share of international migrants in Morocco 2019, by age group
In 2019, the majority of the international migrants in Morocco were between the ages of 20 and 64 years (69.7 percent). Moreover, people 19 years and younger, as well as above the age of 65 years, covered 21.6 percent and 8.8 percent of the total migrant population in the country, respectively. Overall, the population of foreign citizens in Morocco reached 98.6 thousand people in 2019, representing only 0.3 percent of the total population. Compared to a decade earlier, the number of migrants in the country increased significantly.
