Revenue of the space industry as share of GDP South Korea 2015-2021
In 2021, the space industry's revenue accounted for around 0.12 percent of the total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in South Korea. That year, the industry recorded around 2.6 trillion South Korean won in revenue. With the successful launch of the Nuri rocket (also known as KSLV-II) in 2022, South Korea became the seventh country in the world that was able to put in orbit a satellite that weighs over one metric ton.
