Share of U.S. CMOs considering their brand has a customer-focused purpose 2023
During an early 2023 survey in the United States, 43 percent of responding chief marketing officers (CMOs) stated that their brands' promise has a strong customer-focused purpose. Among professionals managing brands in the consumer services and education sectors, the shares peaked at 66.7 percent. The banking, finance, and insurance sector followed with 59.1 percent.
