Volume of cargo handled at airports in Iceland 2009-2022
The domestic and international cargo volume handled at Icelandic airports generally increased between 2009 and 2018. After experiencing a decrease in 2019 and 2020, the cargo volume handled at Icelandic airports peaked at 59,617 metric tons in 2021 before falling again by about six percent to about 56 thousand metric tonnes of cargo in 2022.
