In 2022, an individual living in Italy with less than 690 euros per month was considered poor. Moreover, a two-member family and a household with four members needed respectively 1,150 euros and 1,874.5 euros monthly for remaining above the poverty threshold. In total, beyond two million families and 5.6 million individuals in Italy were living below the poverty line as of 2022.
