Amazon UK Services revenue 2009-2022

Amazon UK Services Ltd generated over 6.6 billion British pounds in turnover in 2022. The United Kingdom based company is responsible for the operation of the e-commerce giant’s distribution centers in the country. It increased its turnover in each year between 2009 and 2022, with figures for the latter year being over 50 times the amount seen in 2009. In 2023, Amazon was the most valuable brand worldwide.

Employment in the UK

Amazon was employer to over 60,000 people working in the United Kingdom in 2022. The e-commerce giant operates a variety of distribution centers – or so-called “fulfillment centers” – across Europe. The greatest number of such facilities were found in the UK and Germany.

Amazon’s financial performance

The revenue growth trend noted by Amazon’s UK operations reflected the company’s overall increase in net revenues. Ten years after its foundation in 1994, Amazon already made 6.92 billion U.S. dollars in net revenues, however figures ballooned further in the following years and reached nearly 514 billion U.S. dollars in 2022.
