Non-essential retail businesses, including charity shops, remained closed in the United Kingdom (UK) between March 23 and June 15, 2020 as part of the lockdown measures against the spread of the coronavirus. A survey conducted in early June revealed that upon reopening of charity shops, clothes were the leading items that the UK individuals were planning to donate to charity shops once they reopened.
