Leading store-only shopping items in Japan 2023
The most common product types consumers preferred to buy in brick-and-mortar stores in Japan were food, beverages, and alcoholic beverages as revealed in a survey conducted in February 2023. While over 57 percent of respondents preferred physical retailers for food purchases, only 4.8 percent would visit in-store retailers over online shops for kids and baby goods.
