Share of supermarkets with private brand goods in Japan 2020-2023
In 2023, over 80 percent of supermarkets in Japan stocked private label products in their stores. This represented an increase of four percent compared to the previous year, with supermarket chains increasingly including store brands in the assortment of their large store network.
