In 2022, Calzedonia Group's turnover was 3.1 billion euros, an increase compared to 2021. Through the eight brands it controls, the Calzedonia Group is mainly producing and retailing in hosiery, underwear, and swimwear for women, men and kids. The brands are the following: Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis, Falconeri, Intimissimi Uomo, Signorvino, and Atelier Emé.
A constant growth
Founded in 1986 in Verona, Calzedonia is the original and the oldest brand controlled by the Ggroup. The Ggroup has grown exponentially thanks to the addition of new brands through the course of the years. The turnover grew constantly between 2010 and 2017, and then increased again in the following year, at least until the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, Calzedonia ranks among the leading Italian fashion companies in terms of turnover, together with names such as Prada and Armani.
Domestic vs foreign revenues
As many other companies active in the fashion industry, Calzedonia Group produces most of its turnover abroad. In 2019, approximately 44 percent of the Group’s revenue originated in Italy, whereas the rest came from foreign markets. However, Calzedonia is not as reliant on exports as some other companies. For example, a ranking published in 2018 shows that some of the leading Italian fashion companies generate up to 90 percent of their revenue abroad.
