Leading 10 telecom companies in the Nordics 2024, by revenue

Telia Company AB was the leading telecommunication company within the Nordic countries by turnover, as of April 2024. The company’s revenue amounted to roughly 8.2 billion euros. Second in the ranking was Tele2 AB, with about 2.53 billion euros turnover, followed closely by Sinch AB (publ), with just over 2.49 billion euros.

Telecom companies with highest profit and most employees

     Not only was Tele2 AB the second telecom company with highest turnover, but also the one with the highest net profit. Similarly, the second company in the ranking, by net profit was Telenor Sverige AB. In contrast with the ranking of companies by turnover, Telia Company AB, leader in turnover, is not raked among the top ten telecom companies with the highest net profit. 

How much do Nordic citizens talk on the phone?

     Within the Nordic countries, Sweden was the one with highest number of outgoing traffic minutes from mobile phone to national network during the period between 2015 and 2017. As of 2017, the number of traffic minutes amounted to over 32 billion. Norway was second with over 13 billion traffic minutes that year.
