Canadian perception of the safety of GM foods for consumption by province 2017
This statistic illustrates consumer perception regarding the safety of consuming genetically modified (GM) foods in Canada in 2017, broken down by province. Some 40 percent respondents in British Columbia perceived GM foods to be generally safe for consumption. Some 54 percent of respondents in Alberta perceived GM foods to be generally safe for consumption.
