U.S. Black social media users online engagement for activism 2020, by age group
According to a survey conducted in the United States in June 2020, 55 percent of Black social media users aged between 18 to 49 years had posted a picture on a social network to show support for a cause, and 52 percent had encouraged others on social media to take action on issues that were important to them. Overall, just 13 percent of respondents aged 50 years and over had used a hashtag related to a political or social issue.
