Car prices highest in Denmark
Of countries within the EU, Norway had the highest average car prices. In 2019, Norwegian consumers paid around 17,000 euros more than the EU-28 average. Consumers in Denmark and Switzerland also paid considerably more than most nations. These three countries have high purchasing power parities.
Mercedes-Benz European market share at 4.9%
Mercedes-Benz’s European market share in December 2020 amounted to 5.9 percent. This was 0.4 percent higher than at the start of the year. Mercedes was one of the top-selling brands in Europe over 2020. In September 2020, the leading passenger car brand in Europe was VW, with Mercedes-Benz ranking in second.
