The use of new technologies is transforming the way that fans experience live sport, both inside and outside the stadium. During aglobal survey conducted in April 2023, around 68 percent of respondents stated that they would like to get player information, live stats, shot charts, etc. generated on smartphones by pointing at players during a game. Meanwhile, just under 60 percent of sports fans wanted to try smart wearables to feel the simulated sensation of on-field action.
