The main reason why voters are inclined to vote blank or null in the Peruvian elections on April 11, 2020 is the belief that the candidates are corrupt. In January 2021, over 34 percent of survey participants said they would not cast a valid vote for either of the candidates because of their involvement in corruption. The second most mentioned reason, according to almost 17 percent of respondents, was the lack of trust in the candidates to deliver on their campaign promises.
