Distribution of workers in CEE 2019-2022, by employment type
In 2022, around 87.8 percent of workers in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries were wage and salaried workers, while the remaining 12.2 percent were self-employed workers. In 2020, the share of wage and salaried workers in the region reached its lowest level at 87.5 percent.
