Inbound tourism volume in Jamaica 2000-2021
In 2021, Jamaica reported 1.5 million international tourists arrivals, which represented a growth of 200 thousand compared to the previous year. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the volume of international tourism in the country in 2020 declined, reaching 900 thousand arrivals less than what was recorded in the first years of the 21th century. In the three years prior to the global health crisis, the number of international tourist arrivals in the Caribbean country surpassed four million per year.
