Consumers are offered over 25 percent more organic products each year in French supermarkets and hypermarkets according to the source. Indeed, while retailers specialized in the distribution of organic products, such as the Biomonde and Biocoop cooperatives, have seen their sales take off in recent years, supermarkets have also developed their range of organic products. It seems that this is in their interest, since from a consumption perspective, it appears that in 2020, about seven French people out of ten consumed organic products from private labels.
