Domestic Vacations Increasingly Popular Amongst Americans

“Why visit the world if you already have everything you need in your own country.” This sentence or words to that effect can often be heard by U.S. American citizens. And to some degree they are right. In between Barrow in Alaska and Key West in Florida you can find almost every climate zone and ecosystem in the world. You can go skiing or scuba diving all year through without ever leaving the United States. That is why almost half of U.S. citizens plan their summer vacations within their 50 states. This trend is only topped by France, Spain and Italy where, according to an Ipsos study, more than 50 Percent of the respondents in those countries do not plan to leave their country for summer vacation this year.
