Over 85's with high-level care needs to double in 20 years

According to projections detailed in newly published research by Kingston et al. in The Lancet, the number of people aged 85 and over in the UK requiring high-dependency care will almost double between 2015 and 2035. The researchers warned that health and social care services must adapt to the situation and should not rely on family carers to plug the gaps.
