Covid-19: people tested in the UK

The issue of Covid-19 testing in the UK remains in focus, with the government's stated aim of 100,000 per day still a long way from reality. As Department of Health and Social Care figures show, the number of people tested (lower than the total number of tests conducted) has only so far exceeded 15,000 twice.
