Far-Right Leads Eurosceptic Earthquake

France’s prime minister has called Europe’s swing to the right “a political earthquake”. Indeed, voters across the European Union have elected the largest number of eurosceptic MEP’s in the European Parliament’s history. Marine Le Pen’s National Front and the UK Independence Party led by Nigel Farage both performed very strongly, garnering 27.5 and 25.4 percent of the vote respectively.
