Pain in the UK

Half (52 percent) of Statista Global Consumer Survey respondents in the UK said that they had experienced physical pain in the past 12 months. As this infographic shows, the most common types of pain suffered were headaches (61 percent) and back pain (55 percent). When it came to battling the pain, at least temporarily, 43 percent said they had resorted to OTC treatments. The most commonly used brands were Nurofen (39 percent), Deep Heat (23 percent) and Voltarol (21 percent).
