Travel & Tourism Contribution to GDP in Asia-Pacific Region

The travel and tourism sector plays a big role in the Asia-Pacific region, as reported by the World Travel & Tourism Council. This is most notably the case in Cambodia, where travel and tourism made up a quarter of the country's GDP in 2019. The sector also had a significant impact in the region's biggest economy China, where it contributed to 11.6% of the country's GDP in the last pre-pandemic year.
