Canada Day: Some Fun Facts

This week, Americans are stocking up on beer and cleaning their barbecues in preparation for their annual 4th of July feast. However, another party is already in full swing north of the border: Canada Day. Canada's national day falls on the 1st of July every year and Canadians love to partake in outdoor events, much like their US neighbors.

This year, 40 percent of people will attend a fireworks display while 32 percent will celebrate with friends, according to an Ipsos poll. When it comes to quintessentially Canadian quirks, 49 percent of respondents admitted to using the expression "eh" occasionally while just under half consider themselves "casual hockey fans".
